Travel platform Pocketvillage.com has launched a new travel search engine that compares more than 11,000 tours, activities and accommodations and includes an ‘inspire me’ search.
This new tool allows people to personalise their choices by packing a digital suitcase or drawing a postcard of the kind of countryside they would like to travel to.
Matthias Scheffelmeier, co-founder of the platform, said. “We collect and handpick thousands of unusual tours, activities and accommodation from many different travel providers, such as Responsibletravel, Intrepid Travel, Urban Adventures, WHL, Tripbod, Airbnb etc so they can be compared on our site. Time consuming search via dozens of different adventure travel sites is over.”
The search, which offers things like a hotel inside a plane, whale shark scuba diving holiday in Thailand and a trip around the world in 153 days, launched March 11 at the ITB trade show in Berlin.
