EasyJet is launching its holiday affiliate program with the affiliate network Webgains to coincide with the debut of new Lowcost Travel Group joint venture easyJet Holidays.
The new holiday program will allow affiliates to generate significant revenue on holidays booked through the easyJet Holidays website.
The easyJet team is hoping to provide the most affiliate-friendly program by offering features like widgets, direct search API, an affiliate blog, twitter, SEO training and other perks.
Vicky Pester, head of marketing for the new holiday offering, said: “The affiliate channel is of paramount importance to us. Consequently we went through a lengthy pitch process with all the top UK affiliate networks to find the perfect partner.
“We chose to work with Webgains because they demonstrated flexibility, impressive technical know-how, international reach, award-winning innovations e.g.: iSense SiteSeeker and a proactive team approach.”
EasyJet Holidays is expected to become a significant player in the UK travel industry with some observers saying it could become a rival to the big two Thomas Cook and Tui Travel due to its access to easyJet’s considerable airlift.
At the end of last month easyJet Holidays went on sale with Teletext Holidays and the new website went live last week.
