Travelzoo’s Top 20 breaks the one million clicks barrier

Travelzoo’s Top 20 travel deals email received a record one million clicks last week, the online publisher announced.

This is the first time UK subscribers to the Travelzoo Top 20, that is sent out each Wednesday, have broken the million mark and the company is heralding the milestone as a good sign for travel sales in 2011.

Joel Brandon-Bravo, UK managing director of Travelzoo, said: “We are very pleased to see that demand for the deals we publish in the Top 20 has reached a landmark one million clicks in the UK.

“This shows that our subscribers are highly engaged with the Top 20 newsletter and that we are sending them deals that really create an immediate high level of interest. 

“Looking at the top-performing deals in terms of click volumes it’s clear to see that at this point in February our subscribers are looking to book up a spring holiday in the sunshine, given the weather this winter it’s easy to see why these deals are so appealing.”

The three top deals that helped gain the million clicks were £159 four-night deluxe Marrakech break, a £289 Turkey all-inclusive seaside break and a £275 all-inclusive beachfront Corfu spring escape.

Currently, Travelzoo has over 2.3 million subscribers in the UK and is approaching five million subscribers in the European region.
