Activitybreaks.com, a Northern Ireland-based operator, has embarked on a pilot project to target consumers in Ireland with a partnership through Shannon Airport.

The deal sees Shannonairport.com take a feed of products featured on Activitybreaks.com, coinciding with a recent announcement by low cost carrier Ryanair to use the airport as its latest European major hub.

It is hoped that the project will encourage consumers to use the Shannonairport website as a one-stop shop for travel products.

Commercial director Katy Knox said: “We were finding that over the past 12 months we had an increasing number of customers who were flying from Shannon Airport.

“This partnership means that you can now use Shannonairport.com to find out what there is to do at all of the European and UK destinations with direct access from Shannon.”

Activitybreaks.com is currently in talks with a number of other UK and Ireland airports to launch similar partnerships.
