Egencia, Expedia’s corporate travel arm, has released new travel alerts and travel tracking tools designed to fully comply with European duty of care obligations.

The travel tracking tool comes as part of the Egencia booking platform and allows businesses to quickly locate employees on an interactive world map. Organisations are able to use this map to view individual trip information for each traveler.

This allows companies to quickly respond to any emergency. Egencia also provides a travel alerts service that monitors international incidents and potential threats to help businesses anticipate and manage any threats.

Christophe Peymirat, vice president global marketing at Egencia, said: “Travel Management Companies have a duty of care to their clients.

“Egencia fully equips travel executives to manage crisis scenarios, providing the information and tools necessary to support their travelers no matter the location and circumstance.”
