Travel firms set to benefit from Ogone Webloyalty tie up

Online payment processing company Ogone Payment Services has struck a pan-European partnership with savings and discount company Webloyalty.

Online payment processing company Ogone Payment Services has struck a pan-European partnership with savings and discount company Webloyalty.

Ogone has travel industry customers including TUI, Thomas Cook, Opodo, Club Med, Hilton Hotels and Center Parcs.

The new agreement means that Ogone’s 25,000 European merchant customers can integrate Webloyalty’s savings, discount and protection programme directly within the Ogone payment confirmation page.

Retailers are expected to benefit from additional revenue plus repeat purchases as Webloyalty offers a cash back voucher to customers, which can be used towards a future purchase at the retailer’s site.

Customers gain discounts and cash back offers of up to 20% at more than 800 online stores by being members of Webloyalty’s membership programme, Shopper Discounts & Rewards.

Online shoppers are encouraged to become members of the programme with banner adverts displayed on the retailer’s Ogone-powered payment confirmation page once the original purchase has been completed.

Ogone UK country manager Julian Wallis said: “Savings and discounts membership programmes have gone from strength to strength in the online world and Webloyalty’s offering will bring added benefits to our merchant customers and their customers in-turn.

“Placing the opportunity to join the programme on the payment confirmation page makes perfect sense as it doesn’t interrupt the shopping process and makes use of webspace which is often overlooked.

“The technical integration to make this happen is simple and the revenue and loyalty opportunity for merchants significant.”

Webloyalty Europe managing director Martin Child added: “Ogone’s customer-base is also a good fit for our programme with a strong focus on travel and consumer retail brands.”
