Travelsupermarket.com head of commercial Duncan Barraclough has joined travel portal Simonseeks in a similar role.
He previously worked for laterooms.com as partnerships and affiliates manager and as cities and senior destination contractor for MyTravel.
Barraclough will concentrate on increasing the commercial exposure of the hotels, restaurants and attractions which have been rated by the site’s 50 worldwide experts.
Simonseeks founder Simon Nixon said: “His experience is key to maximise our commercial relationships with travel products impartially chosen by our experts as we move towards stepping up traffic with our marketing plans for 2011.”
The appointment follows the travel site’s announcement of its first £2 million TV advertising campaign which goes live on Boxing Day.
Barraclough said: “We are looking to tailor our approach to complement different partners and to help people get the most out of our content from both our experts and community guides.
“We now have almost 10,000 individual products recommended by our 50 experts alone so it’s a great opportunity for us.”
