deal doubles China inventory

Hotel price comparison site is more than doubling its coverage of properties in China to 11,000.

The Australian company has forged a co-operation deal with Beijing-based eLong, designed to help it be come a leading online travel agency in China.

eLong offers a bilingual website and 24-hour call centre.

HotelsCombined head of strategy and online marketing Hichame Assi said: “We are extremely excited to launch eLong as a supply partner.

“This integration will not only provide the eLong brand with worldwide exposure, but will also provide HotelsCombined with a significant source of Chinese inventory that our global China-bound users will appreciate.

In addition, this will help boost our growing site within Greater China by providing Chinese users with a recognisable local brand.”
