expands to cover 80 destinations

Global online travel guides network has expanded to cover 80 destinations with the addition of Amsterdam, Barbados and Tasmania.

The new guides are being operated as franchises – is being launched by Susan van Oene and Simon Reap; Donna and Tony Gibbons have bought the franchise for and will be launched by Keith and Sally Miller.

All three are expected to be available to consumers by next summer.

The network is designed to give travellers insider travel tips and information direct from local experts.

Co-founder James Street said: “ continues to grow and the new destinations will add even more breadth to the site.

“We’ve grown from 40 destination guides at the beginning of 2010 to 80 destinations with today’s announcement.  With our model of local travel expertise backed up by a global infrastructure, we’re building a stable and profitable business that is ready to take on the big names in travel advice.”
