Four airlines sign up to HRS’s booking portal

Hotel portal HRS.com has signed up four airlines to provide accommodation booking facilities.

Hotel portal HRS.com has signed up four airlines to provide accommodation booking facilities.

Icelandair, Egyptair, Air Astana of Kazakhstan and Danish airline Climber Sterling have signed exclusive accommodation partnership deals, bringing the total up to 30.

A dual-branded accommodation micro-site has been developed for each, which is accessed via a ‘hotels’ tab on the airlines’ home page.

The micro-sites are powered by the HRS reservations portal allowing passengers to access 250,000 hotels in 180 countries. They allow travellers to manage their hotel bookings, enabling them to cancel or change bookings up to 18.00 on the day of arrival.

Airlines with frequent flyer programmes can tailor the micro-sites to offer members exclusive hotel deals.

HRS.com UK & Ireland director Jon West said: “By developing integrated, bespoke micro-sites that seamlessly connect flight bookers to a hotel offer without having to leave the airlines’ sites is a bonus both to the airlines, in terms of revenue, and to the end user in terms of efficiency and flexibility.”
