Holiday Taxis major account manager Chris Oakes is to join travel technology company Traveltek to spearhead its international expansion.

Holiday Taxis major account manager Chris Oakes is to join travel technology company Traveltek to spearhead its international expansion.

He becomes head of global accounts next month following expansion by the company after clinching accounts in Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain and Malta.

Traveltek managing director Kenny Picken said the new contract wins meant the timing was right “to re-structure the business to accommodate the expansion of our reach outside the UK”.

He added: “Chris will be responsible for building a dedicated account management team to service all Traveltek clients both within the UK and internationally as we continue to expand.

“I’ve found it incredibly exciting travelling overseas, winning new orders but this also brings the need to structure our resources to the best advantage and I think Chris’s experience will be invaluable in this new role.”
