Bond Tours, a specialist tour operator running holidays to Croatia, is introducing a new system allow consumers to coordinate bookings on its website.

The Travelink system, developed by technology company Comtec, will replace a number of existing systems used by the company in its call centre and soon be available as a search and booking tool for users of its website.

Agents will also be able to use the one-stop facility via the website in the near future, the company said.

Travelink will hand the operator control over its own itineraries with dynamic packaging technologies.

Comtec sales director Richard Turner said: The flexibility of our Travelink system ensures our clients are ideally positioned to provide the individual, tailored, travel products and services required to differentiate their business in a highly competitive marketplace.”

It is hoped the installation of the new system will automate a number of functions, allowing staff in the Bond Tours call centre to advise and sell products.

Bond Tours general manager Rupert Diggins added: “It also enables us to implement a flexible online booking service for travel agents and experienced travellers who want to research or book tailor-made holidays online.”
