Thelma & Louise offers guide writer incentives

Authors of travel articles on community website Thelma & Louise are being offered a reward scheme for their work.

Authors of travel articles on community website Thelma & Louise are being offered a reward scheme for their work.

The writer of the articles given the most “thumbs up” in any given month will be rewarded with a prize in an incentive called the Travel Bug Rewards.

The first winner of a £500 cash prize will be announced on October 30 and subsequent winners will be given prizes including travel vouchers and other related products.

The women’s travel website has undergone a recent revamp the member travel guides introduced to sit alongside its DK Guides.

Christine Davies, co-founder of the site, said: “Members have been posting their own, high quality travel guides gradually since the re-launch of the site in July.

“Everyone enjoys talking about subjects they have a passion for and our members are having a lot of fun sharing their travel stories, tips and experiences.

“The advantage of encouraging members to upload travel guides of their own, is that they naturally provide a woman’s perspective, making them highly relevant to the members.

“Women are able to rate travel guides they have found useful or inspirational and we are delighted to be in a position now to give something back to our community for sharing their experiences, recommendations and tips.”

As well as the Travel Bug Rewards members to post their travel experiences and tips are being incentivised by being entered into a prize draw to win one of 35 VIP tickets to the Luxury Travel Fair in November.

The first 10 members to publish a travel guide and join the Luxury Travel Fair event on the Thelma & Louise site before November 1 will receive a Gold VIP invitation for two people to the Luxury Travel Fair and The Spirit of Christmas Fair on any one day between November 4-7.
