Four airlines have signed up for online check-in capability through Travelport’s ViewTrip.

Four airlines have signed up for online check-in capability through Travelport’s ViewTrip.

The service allows travellers with Galileo, Worldspan and Apollo-created itineraries to check-in online.

Royal Brunei, Royal Jordanian, Gulf Air and the LAN Group are the latest airlines to implement the service to streamline the passenger check-in process.

They join British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, Midwest Airlines, SWISS, Flybe, United, Air Canada, Ukraine International, Turkish Airways, Bmi, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America as participating carriers.

Travelport claims the tool allows airlines to check-in more passengers online which eases lengthy queues while reducing the costs and resources associated with managing passenger check-in at the airport.

Supplier services vice-president EMEA Matthew Hall said: “The fact that we now have carriers from every region across the globe using ViewTrip is evidence of the tangible benefits of this tool.”
