Traffic to the largest travel site in the world grew by 60% in July from the start of the year. TripAdvisor features 20 million registered members, up from 15 million in January.


The figures from come from comScore Media Metrix on the back of TripAdvisor opening new websites in Turkey, Denmark, Mexico, Poland, Norway, Australia, Singapore and Thailand. TripAdvisor is now available in 14 languages, across 23 countries.


The TripAdvisor.co.uk site on its own has 4.5 million unique visitors a month, topping parent site Expedia.co.uk at 3.4 million, HSBC.co.uk 4.1 million and on a par with BT.com at 4.5 million, according to the company.
