Premium travel website Walesinstyle.com is to introduce a series of user improvements as it looks to grow partner numbers.

The site, which is a partner of Visitwales.com and part funded by the Welsh Assembly, will add a “Build-Your-Own-Brochure” facility and visitor favourites into its travel reviews over the next few months.

The developments follow the inclusion of location maps – integrated into the site last week – and other user-friendly tools such as a “What’s Nearby?” function.

Walesinstyle.com was conceived by the Assembly and Visitwales.com earlier this year in an attempt to grow inbound visitor numbers to Wales, through premium and luxury travel products.

Content for the not-for-profit site is written by ex-AA guides scribe Simon Wright and is believed to be the only regional portal in the UK focussing specifically on premium travel products, including hotels, restaurants and attractions.

There are also plans to introduce an events database for Wales in the future, but the site will continue to act mainly as an information-referral portal for the immediate future, said one of the founders of the site, Jason Triandafyllou.

Walesinstyle.com has a target of becoming self-funding within three years, Triandafyllou said.
