Simonseeks.com has looked to its founder Simon Nixon’s former firm to recruit a new head of offline marketing.

Adam Davidson is to join the travel review site from moneysupermarket.com and travelsupermarket.com, it was announced today.

Davidson managed his former employers’ multi-million pound budget including the most recent television advertising campaign starring comedian Omid Djalili and BBC2 Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones

Simon Nixon said: “It is great news to have Adam on the team with his wealth of advertising and brand experience.

“We are going through one of our most significant content expansions since our launch last year, recruiting a raft of new destination experts. Adam will play a key role as we develop our offline advertising campaign which will launch at the end of the year.”

This appointment is confirmed as the company looks to recruit a managing director to beef up the editorial team which is already four strong, headed up by Nick Trend.

It also comes a week after news of the departure of Simon’s brother Chris Nixon, Simonseeks commercial director.
