The service will enable travel management companies and businesses to book high-definition telepresence video-conferencing suites from a range of providers.

Users will be able to view room availability, book meetings and check rates and restrictions while public telepresence providers and private businesses will be able to open up their facilities more widely.

Sabre’s GetThere recently agreed a partnership with telecommunications specialist Tata Communications enabling companies to access public and private telepresence facilities via  GetThere online booking and collaboration tools.

Pilot tests are to begin in the coming weeks with plans to offer the service more widely later this year.
