Five top Australian resorts have been added to online distributor SiteMinder’s system to increase their presence in booking engines globally.

The resorts were all bought by international hospitality group, Delaware North last year and include: El Questro Wilderness Park and Homestead in Western Australia, Kings Canyon Resort in the Northern Territory and three Queensland properties; Lizard Island Resort, Heron Island Resort and Wilson Island Resort.

Michelle Kenna, Delaware’s director of sales and marketing in Australia, said: “These five resorts are world-class tourist drawcards and to maximise their exposure on leading accommodation booking sites around the world, we have tasked SiteMinder to manage our room availability and pricing on the growing number of websites they connect with all around the world.

“We’re very keen to grow the inbound market and with online bookings rapidly growing in popularity, we believe SiteMinder will put our five resorts in front of more global e-consumers than any other channel manager.”

SiteMinder marketing director Gary Fog added: “We are delighted these five prestigious resorts have chosen to come onboard with us so we can link them quickly and easily to the major players in the online reservations market. We are confident we can deliver to each resort more bookings with less effort and cost.”

Through SiteMinder, the five resorts will have their availability and pricing distributed automatically to the likes of Expedia, Wotif, Booking.com and Agoda.
