Teletext Holidays’ parent company Daily Mail and General Trust is to dissolve its digital arm Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND) in which Teletext Holidays sits.

In what is reported to be a cost-cutting move, AND chief executive Richard Titus is leaving and Teletext Holidays, along with Findaproperty.com, Primelocation.com and Motors.co.uk will be absorbed into DGMT’s consumer divison A&N Media.

A spokesman said: “In light of the current economic conditions, A&N Media, the consumer division of DMGT, has decided to streamline the organisational structure around its digital activities.

“As part of this change, chief executive of AND, Richard Titus, will be departing the organisation, though he will remain engaged with both
A&N Media and DMGT as a consultant and adviser on various strategic, digital and consumer issues.”

AND employs more than 1,000 staff in the UK and central and eastern Europe and the shake-up is reportedly likely to lead to job cuts as duplication of roles in areas such as support services is removed.

Before joining DMGT, Titus had been controller of the BBC audio and music interactive and BBC mobile operations.
