An iPhone app and two new mobile sites have been created by Costa Cruises.

Designed for the fleet’s 14 ships, the app can be downloaded free from the Apple Store and iTunes and is available in six languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

Each ship can be viewed with a 360° full-screen real virtual tour using the most popular iPhone multimedia functions.

Photo galleries and descriptions are available covering cabins and suites, wellness areas, deck lidos, bars, restaurants, works of art, as well as Grand Prix and golf simulators, swimming pools, giant screens and 4D cinemas.

The device includes an interactive geo-localisation system which allows travellers to follow their trip.

The position of all the ships in the fleet can be displayed on a map at any time and webcams on the stern and the bow enable passengers to follow the journey in real time.

The mobile sites allow holidaymakers to access the line’s Mediterranean and Dubai itineraries and can be accessed via latest generation mobile phones.

Multimedia content includes videos, photo galleries and fact sheets.

Users can obtain detailed itinerary information and pictures of ports of call. Two sections are dedicated to prices and reservations.
