German airline Lufthansa has overhauled its trade website in a bid to improve its online relationship with travel agents.
The new site – Lufthansaexperts.com – has been specifically designed to enhance communication with agents, including the introduction of a 24-hour support service.
The service will include facilities for agents to check the latest products and obtain airfares.
The company said: “The 4,500 current members will be invited to transfer over to the new site and will be asked to update their profile when they first visit to ensure they are able to take advantage of the improved services.”
In April, Lufthansa signed an content distribution deal with Worldspan, providing airfares and availability across the GDS’s network.
