Amadeus and Thomas Cook agree extended deal

GDS Amadeus has extended its deal with Thomas Cook Group plc for a further five years and added five new markets.

GDS Amadeus has extended its deal with Thomas Cook Group plc for a further five years and added five new markets.


The five new markets that have been added to the deal are India, Denmark, Finland Norway and Sweden bringing to 14 the number of countries where both companies work together.


The migration of the new markets to Amadeus is due to be completed by the end of 2010.


Philippe Chérèque, executive vice president, commercial at Amadeus said: “We are delighted that Thomas Cook has decided to renew and expand their relationship with Amadeus.


“The addition of important markets such as India, Finland and the Scandinavian countries to our on-going relationship speaks of the trustful partnership between the two companies.”
