Attraction Tickets Direct (ATD) is on target to serve 250,000 Orlando customers this year marking a record start to 2010, despite news from the US Department of Commerce that bookings to Florida are down compared with last year.

Sales have been boosted since the company opened Attraction Tickets Direct offices in the Republic of Ireland in 2009 and in Germany at the start of this year.

Founder of the ATD Travel Group, Oliver Brendon, said: “We are delighted to be on target to serve 250,000 Florida customers in 2010 and feel this is testament to the hard work of our staff and the loyalty of our customers.

“We are consistently looking at ways of continuing to grow the pre-purchase concept in the markets where we operate, and have continued to build our online presence through social networks and online media with great success.

“The new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando is really exciting for the destination and gives us optimism that our sales growth will continue into 2011.”

The company was set up eight years ago by Oliver Brendon and has grown from him working alone to employing over 35 people across its three brands; Attraction Tickets Direct, dosomethingdifferent.com and Complete Orlando.
