Gill’s Cruise Centre has created another cruise line-specific app.

The new Fred Olsen app joins the company’s expanding portfolio, which includes Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International.

And its Cruise Deals app has also been reprogrammed for use on Android handsets.

So far more than 8,200 people have downloaded a Gill’s Cruise Centre app – a number that continues to grow, reflecting their enduring popularity.

The free Fred Olsen app provides deck plans, cruise routes and itineraries.

Once downloaded, all features are accessible offline, which makes it more user friendly at sea.

There is also a live feed that allows users to access the latest news from the cruise line.

Chairman Alistair Gill said: “We have been hugely excited by the positive response to these apps. Clients have commented on how useful they are for research before their cruise and for ease of on-board navigation.

“We are also immensely proud of our Cruise Deals app – Gill’s Cruise Centre is always keen to offer the best possible prices to customers and by making the app available to Android phones we are able to further extend our reach and presence in the marketplace.

“We are already working on our next series of apps, which will focus on solo cruisers and cruises for the festive season.”
