Metafour launches Empower tool for low-cost flights
Travel technology specialist Metafour has developed an online tool for tour operators and agents for searching and booking tickets on low-cost airlines.
The Empower Flights system has been created to give agents and operators the ability to integrate an air tickets into a single transaction with other holiday components.
Metafour has claimed the system will “revolutionise” the relationship agents and operators have with the low cost airlines.
Metafour director Robert Udwin said: “Traditionally operators have had to book with individual low cost airlines, now with Empower Flights, they can offer low cost airline bookings through their entire booking cycle in a single system.
“We can set up the whole system for an operator including their back office with integrated inventories from accommodation and other suppliers, or the Empower Flights API can be integrated into most other booking system.”
The system is the latest in Metafour’s Empower product range.
Tour operator Arrowtours is the first client named by Metafour to integrate the tool into its systems.
Ben Greene, from Arrow Tours, said “This technology really gives us an advantage over our competitors.
“Our clients can compare the prices and availability on the low cost airlines as well as the scheduled services and choose which suits them.”
