An online ‘find engine’ has teamed up with the English Association of Self Catering Operators (Easco) to feature its 9,000 self-catering properties across the UK.

Users of FindsYouAPlaceToStay.com post a ‘wanted’ notice on the site and the find engine matches the request with suitable accommodation providers, who are then able to contact the user directly.

Easco chief executive Martin Sach said: “This is an exciting venture for Easco. The service supports and adds value for our members, allowing them to open their doors to an even wider audience of holidaymakers.”

“It also helps promote self-catering accommodation in the UK.”

The search facility will also appear on the VisitBritain website.

For the first six months, the service is free to accommodation providers who can register on Findsyou.com.

FindsYou.com chief executive Guy Walker: “Self-catering accommodation is an increasingly popular option for those holidaying in the UK and we’re delighted to have Easco members on board.

“With the support of Easco and VisitBritain accommodation providers, we can truly offer our users the widest breadth of options when it comes to finding a place to stay in the UK.”
