Icelolly.com launches World Cup for holiday destinations

Holiday price comparison site icelolly.com has launched an online holiday destination World Cup to find which is the most popular.


In total 16 of the world’s top destinations will go head to head with voters asked to decide which is the best based on five key factors.


The knock-out tournament will progress until only one destination is left and this will be named winner of the World Cup.
icelolly.com is offering prizes for voting including a holiday to the winning country, a £1,000 cash prize or branded  t-shirts. 


The competition will run for the duration of the football world cup and is already spreading virally through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.


The 16 countries that have qualified are the countries which have received the most searches on icelolly.com in the last year.


An icelolly.com spokesman said: ‘We want to let the people decide which country is the best place to go on a holiday based on their experiences.”
