Online travel agent Opodo has handed its creative advertising account to Paris-based agency Frédéric Duverge, ending its brief association with the UK’s Promise.
Promise worked with Opodo last year to develop a new global positioning under the theme of travel inspiration, seen in a series of highly visible outdoor campaigns throughout its markets.
Opodo said Frédéric Duverge will continue the theme created by Promise with work for a new pan-European campaign.
Head of marketing Isabelle Ratinaud said: “We were very impressed by a lot of the work submitted as part of the pitch process but felt that Frédéric Duverge presented the most insightful response to our brief and creative that truly captured our positioning of ‘travel inspiration’.
“The campaigns created will need to work across several European markets and it was vital that the creative concepts presented could be translated into the various languages and cultures.”
Opodo has already worked with Frédéric Duverge on a French campaign earlier this year.
Undisclosed agencies from the UK, Germany and Italy also pitched for the business.
