Teletext Holidays has created a price tracker to highlight the best daily deals on 20 popular family holiday destinations in the UK and overseas.
The move comes following a survey of 1,000 parents, 17% of whom admitted lying to schools to get their children out during term time.
Teletextholidays.co.uk/moneysavingtips also contains 30 pieces of advice on how to save money on family holidays as part of a dedicated section about how to budget on family holidays.
Managing director Victoria Sanders said: “The vast majority of parents are desperate for advice about how they can save money on a family break.
“There’s no escaping the fact that prices will always be higher when demand is at its peak, but there are still ways to save money on a family break such as looking out for free child places, opting for all-inclusive deals, cashing in supermarket rewards points and finding kids eat free offers.
“While most parents would rather not take their children out of school, they feel they have little choice.”
