Gap Adventures recruits for Europe push

Gap Adventures is increasing its senior team in the UK as part of expansion plans across Europe

Gap Adventures is increasing its senior team in the UK as part of expansion plans across Europe.

The company, which specialises in small group adventure travel, is looking for a European sales manager and a director of sales and marketing to spearhead growth in the region.

Gap Adventures is also set to name a new UK general manager following the relocation of John Warner to Canada.

Founder Bruce Poon Tip said the UK and Europe was the fastest growing market for the company and that more than 80% of business comes via the trade in the region.

“We want to strengthen the partnerships we already have and look at countries we have not entered into such as Spain and France. And there is a lot of opportunity still in Switzerland.”

Tip said the Netherlands has also been earmarked for development.

“There are a host of partnerships we are looking to develop in the UK and we’re in talks. They will give us a lot more exposure.”

He also said Gap Adventures is planning online and offline marketing in the UK to increase brand awareness.
