Superbreak has launched a facility for agents to make any hotel only booking up to and including the date of travel on its agent website.
Previously bookings could be made up to the day before travel, with bookings on the day needing to be made via the operator’s call centre.
Sales director Ian Mounser said: “This is particularly helpful to agents for our sector given our very short lead times profile.
“I would encourage all agents to make their customers aware, either through their windows or in their mailings.
“It has a variety of benefits, one obviously being for agents in tourism cities such as London, Edinburgh, York or Oxford, where many arriving tourists may not have secured their accommodation.
“The fact that our website is able to convert a high proportion of enquiries helps to illustrate the strength of our availability.’’
