Online accommodation service Hotelicopter is developing a publishing platform with plans to launch this summer.

The platform will enable hotel companies to distribute their deals and inventory more widely across the web via an API, white label or widget.

The technology will also allow travel companies who want an accommodation feed and potential affiliate partners to offer accommodation on their sites.

Hotelicopter co-founder and chief executive Adam Healey said the platform was designed to drive direct bookings to hotel partners.

He also said the company was evolving to be more of a business-to-business technology company.

“The website will continue to exist but the opportunities in powering hotel search and distribution are even greater throughout the web.”

Hotelicopter is also working on the next version of its hotel search platform which Healey promised would have aspects ‘never seen before.’

“It will be more of an intuitive, intelligent tool and allow more flexible searches.”
