Lowcostholidays starts search for ‘joliday’ reviewer

Lowcostholidays.com has started a search for a member of the public to be a hotel reviewer with a foreign holiday every month for a year as part of the prize

Lowcostholidays.com has started a search for a member of the public to be a hotel reviewer with a foreign holiday every month for a year as part of the prize.

The “job” comes with an annual salary of £20,000 a year, the chance to travel the world, enjoy all-inclusive hotel accommodation and a “generous” spending allowance.

In addition the winner will star in a national television campaign while providing real reviews of their experiences on a blog and on Twitter and Facebook.

All Lowcostholidays is looking for is someone with a passion for travel, a sociable personality, the ability to swim, a taste for good food and appreciation of good service.

They will also presumably require an up-to-date passport and will not be too concerned about their carbon footprint.

Paul Evans, chief executive of lowcostholidays.com, said: “For anyone who fancies a year out, enjoys sunning themselves and who won’t miss talk of the recession, this really is the dream job.

“We’re calling it a ‘joliday’ – less job, more holiday. This isn’t about celebrity, this is about finding that ordinary, every day person who is down to earth and real enough to provide our customers with a no-nonsense view on popular and up and coming holiday destinations anywhere around the world.”

Applicant who visit www.lowcostholidaysbigsearch.com will be asked to upload a CV and answer a series of questions about their holiday habits.

They will also be asked to upload a 30 second video clip of them reviewing something of their choice to prove their aptitude in front of the camera.

The winner will be provided with the very latest travel gadgets and equipment including a laptop, digital camera and pocket camcorder.

A panel of leading travel experts has been recruited to review applications and short list ten potential candidates, from which the British public will select their winner. The winner will be announced in June.
