Technology firm Revelex has opened an office in Southampton as it seeks to establish a dominant position in the UK.

The new office will be run by Alice Jones who joined Revelex in 2008 as a cruise business analyst having previously worked for luxury cruise operator Regent Seven Seas for the previous eight years.

The Southampton office will focus on business development, the company saying that it is “committed to establishing itself as the preeminent travel technology provider in the UK”.

Revelex said it has aggressive expansion plans in the UK with cruise at the “cornerstone” of its plans.

David Goodis, chief executive of Revelex, said: “Revelex is committed to establishing itself as the preeminent travel technology provider in the UK, just as we’ve done over the last 10 years in the US.

“Alice is the perfect fit for this new role as it capitalises on her strengths in both International sales and business analysis and we are confident that she will help Revelex gain a strong foothold in these overseas markets.”

In addition to building the domestic client base for Revelex, the Southampton office will also provide customer support for existing UK customers.

Revelex said it will also work closely with the US head office to create new products and design to suit the needs of both new and existing clients.

UK sales territories will be established and Revelex will attend travel and cruise trade events in the UK.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expand Revelex’s reach into the European markets,” said Jones.
