Thomas Cook has renewed its partnership with Microsoft Advertising and has today unveiled a ‘Spin the Globe to Find Your Holiday’ campaign.
The campaign features unique video content that will be continually updated throughout the duration of the campaign.
A year ago Thomas Cook and Microsoft Advertising announced a partnership combining a range of solutions from the online digital space.
This latest UK-exclusive activity will run across the Microsoft Advertising portfolio, using Silverlight technology to deliver high quality video and animation.
Silverlight will also plot Bing Maps on an interactive 3D globe enabling holidaymakers to explore the range of Thomas Cook destinations.
The campaign also uses Thomas Cook’s inventory of videos and destination images as well as drawing in editorial content from the MSN Travel Channel including a tab on the 3D globe.
In addition, an Editor’s Pick section will be used to drive traffic to the Thomas Cook area of the channel.
The campaign follows a three-month deal Thomas Cook announced with Microsoft Advertising last November which saw the launch of the ‘Bing Around the World’ competition.
The solution was developed with Microsoft development partner Shoothill.
Microsoft Advertising travel category development manager Caroline Mastoras described this latest campaign with Thomas Cook as really pushing ‘the creative boundaries.’
