Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has created its own online social media platform to encourage guests to share their travel experiences.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has created its own online social media platform to encourage guests to share their travel experiences.

The launch follows Sheraton’s ‘A Story is Better When Shared’ initiative unveiled in October enabling consumers to upload stories and tips to the Sheraton site from Facebook.

Once users have registered on the Sheraton Shared Moments platform, they leave a short message on their experience and can also indicate their current mood. 

The platform works in conjunction with existing online communities including Twitter, Facebook and Flickr as well as blogging platforms.

It will be promoted through partnerships with companies such as WAYN, which will feature a display campaign and a dedicated Sheraton Moments profile on the travel social networking site.

The service, available to users across the globe, also enables users to upload their own photographs or have images pulled in from Flickr.
