Holiday rating specialist Zoover plans to expand in Europe with new sites in the Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic next year.

Chief executive Stephan Bosman said a total of 21 sites would be live from the beginning of the year.

He added that the UK was still one of Zoover’s biggest markets but stressed the goal was not to be another Tripadvisor.

The company also plans to unveil an English version of its MyZoover community in January. The service is currently available on its Dutch site and enables users to create a profile with travel pictures and videos.

More than 20,000 profiles have already been created in Holland and Zoover is also working on integrating Facebook Connect and other social media networks.

Zoover has  lined up several deals to enable tourist boards to take over its homepage for a week beginning in December with Australia.
