Brittany Ferries has experienced a significant improvement in the number of pages being indexed by Google since the relaunch of its site.

The ferry operator teamed up with GOSS Interactive to redesign the site and introduced functionality to improve the booking and searching capability.

The website uses GOSS Interactive’s iCM content management system.

Brittany Ferries internet services manager Matt Randle said that in two months the number of pages indexed by the search giant had jumped from 3,000 to 308,000 improving the companies natural search results.

The site now enables consumers to build their own holiday using a range of criteria and a filtering process.

Brittany Ferries also plans to extend the redesign and new functionality to its French and Irish sites.
