French online travel specialist EasyVoyage plans to plough 5 million Euros into marketing its UK service between now and the end of 2010.

The funds will be devoted to e-mail and affiliate marketing as well as search engine optimisation.

The UK version of the service was unveiled almost a year ago and is now in the top 20 travel info-mediation sites in the UK.

Chief executive Jean-Pierre Nadir said the company was on track to achieve its target of being in the top 10 UK travel info-mediation sites by next summer.

The company recently completed a Euros 31.6 million leveraged buyout and Nadir said that money raised would be used to ‘accelerate development’ in the UK as well as Germany, which is scheduled to go live in November.

He also said the company was eyeing potential acquisitions in those countries with a view to buying companies with large volumes of traffic.
