Direct Holidays is giving holidaymakers the chance to become holiday reviewers with the launch of a bespoke reviews website – thebigpicturedirect.co.uk
Independently administrated, The Big Picture Direct offers a trusted resource when researching and booking holidays, allowing you to check if a hotel or resort is right for your trip by hearing first hand what fellow holidaymakers thought of it. Photos can also be shared to give an up-to-date snapshot of the hotel and its surroundings.
The Big Picture already features over 500 reviews ranging from Egypt and Turkey to the Dominican Republic and Florida. The reviews are constantly being added to and all comments featured are validated to ensure they are from people who have travelled with Direct Holidays – helping to make the reviews as relevant as possible.
In the coming months, the site will be further personalised to offer features such as an online chat facility, giving customers the opportunity to catch up with friends they made while away or ask any questions that travel brochures and traditional review sites don’t cover.
The Big Picture Direct forms part of Direct Holidays’ Direct Effect campaign, which aims to create the holiday feeling at every step of the holiday process, from the moment you first think about booking some much-needed sun, to reminiscing about that cocktail in resort or that great feeling of sand between your toes. Feedback will also be used to develop Direct Holidays’ product offering, with comments passed directly to hotels to help improve the overall customer experience. If a property receives a number of poor reviews, the accommodation will be reviewed and potentially excluded from the programme if Direct Holidays feels it is not meeting the appropriate standards.

They are also recommended as ‘Best for’ Adults, Families, Couples, Kids, Groups, Honeymoon, Beach, Activities, All Inclusive and Nightlife to make it even easier to find a hotel to match your holiday needs.
