Travolution will hold its second conference of 2006 at this year’s prestigious World Travel Market exhibition in London.

The two-day event at the ExCel Centre will include a series of travel marketing and technology seminars on Tuesday 7 November and a one-day conference, featuring keynote speakers and panel discussions, on Wednesday 8 November.

The announcement follows the well-received one-day Travolution Summit in April at the Renaissance Chancery Court in London.

Travolution publishing director Simon Ferguson said: “Travolution is thrilled to be providing the conference at this year’s World Travel Market. The power of WTM as an event is well evidenced, and the combination of this with Travolution’s unique position in serving the online travel market will ensure a must-attend event.

“We’ll be looking to combine great speaker content with innovative delivery, including video links and live blogs, covering all aspects of online distribution and marketing in the travel industry.”

World Travel Market, organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions, will run from Monday 6 November to Thursday 9 November.

Fiona Jeffery, managing director for World Travel Market at Reed Travel Exhibitions, said: “The Travolution Conference at WTM will enable us to provide exactly what our global audience wants – the very latest updates and information on travel technology and all-important new media advances that are so vital in today’s travel business environment.

“We look forward to yet another year of sell-out seminars and are delighted to have Travolution on board.”

Brent Hoberman, chairman of Lastminute.com and a member of Travolution’s advisory board, added: “A tie-in between WTM for the wider travel industry and Travolution sounds likes a great combination.

“Travolution fills an important gap in the UK market as a useful industry resource for online and offline industry professionals who want to keep abreast of the continuing shift of travel from offline to online.”
