Radisson Hotels & Resorts has joined with Mobile Travel Technologies to unveil a mobile service for guests in the UK, India and Australia.

The service enables travellers to respond to hotel promotions via a mobile device as well as make reservations and view existing bookings, hotel information and directions.

Frank Trampert, Asia Pacific vice-president of revenue generation at Radisson parent company Carlson Hotels Worldwide, said mobiles would develop as a booking channel especially in response to promotions.

Radisson Mobile uses Mobile Travel Technologies’ hotel platform m2bed, which provides integrated SMS messaging and mobile web access. The Radisson.mobi site is integrated with Radisson’s existing systems and can be viewed via a PC.

Mobile Travel Technologies unveiled a similar deal with Hilton Hotels in July, enabling guests to make bookings and access hotel information via mobile devices including iPhones.
