Tour-planning specialist YourTour has gone live in the US with a service helping travellers put together a trip based on tours, excursions and hotels.
The service has been under soft launch since the start of the summer, but was officially launched this week at the TechCrunch50 event in San Francisco.
YourTour business development manager Emmanuel Guisset revealed plans to raise euros3 million in funding for the next phase of development.
The service currently offers content on tours and excursions only in France. Florida should be added this autumn and content for other European countries is planned for early 2010.
YourTour aims to participate at London’s World Travel Market and the Phocuswright Travel Innovation Summit, both in November.
