The deal will see Comtec’s WebSell Pro system used across the search, cost and book function of Expedia’s brochure packages.
Comtec already supplies Expedia with its charter flight search and booking functionality.
Director of retail at Expedia, Robin Sutherland, said: “As the UK’s leading online travel agent, we constantly strive to enhance our customers’ online experience.
“WebSell Pro enables us to apply the knowledge we’ve gained since launching Expedia.co.uk in 1998, by tailoring the customer experience based on our research and the customer’s preferences and needs.”
Expedia recently signed a major deal with Amadeus to provide additional GDS coverage.
Comtec sales director Richard Turner added: “As a company which sets a benchmark for online travel services, we’re delighted that Expedia has chosen to implement Comtec’s next generation travel e-commerce solution.
“Our portfolio of WebSell services including White-Label, Professional and Bespoke modules ensures travel organisations of all types and sizes can exploit e-commerce opportunities in a manner that is consistent with their business priorities and budget.”
