Stella Hospitality Group to be renamed Mantra Group
Stella Hospitality Group is to be renamed the Mantra Group, according to Travolution’s sister title in Australia.
The Stella Group announced earlier this month that it was splitting its group into two divisions under the Stella Hospitality Group and Stella Travel Services, which includes Stella Travel Services UK. The group now has two separately managed, financed and operated businesses.
Stella Hospitality Group operates a portfolio of more than 140 resorts, hotels and apartments, including the Peppers, Mantra and Breakfree brands.
Travel Today, the online daily news service operated by Travel Weekly Australia, has reported that the hospitality group will change its name to the Mantra Group following the restructure.
According to chief executive Bob East, the Mantra name “great exposure” and “represents the best in home-grown skills and service.”
The Stella Hospitality Group was created using nine hotel brands, which were then merged into three core brands. The Mantra brand was developed by the group, while Peppers and BreakFree were existing brands.
