Monster Travel has become the latest online travel agent to sign a commercial agreement with rich media supplier trailstream to add video content to its website.
Monster Travel clients can now view their chosen property. Each film is typically one minute in length, professionally filmed and edited with music and voice-over, allowing a snapshot visit of the key areas of the property and surrounding amenities. There are currently 1,800 live films with more than 350 currently shot and in editing.
Monster Travel’s managing director David Hawke said: “The user experience is key, we aim to give our customers a true representation of the hotel before they book and we are reacting to the growing demand for information using trailstream video content.”
He added: “We have developed our own bespoke hotel landing page to synchronise Monster’s search and booking engine, with the video content to make the searching process rich in content and more interactive to drive up site conversions. Essentially we are taking online travel booking to the next level, this technology is at the very heart of what we as a company are trying to achieve.”
