The Adventure Company builds customer community site

The Adventure Company has unveiled a new online travel community called My Adventures.

The community aims to make choosing a trip easier and enhance the holiday experience by enabling travellers to share information.

My Adventures also caters for the solo travellers who want to hook up with other members of a tour before they go.

The community also enables users to write reviews and rate holidays and offers a live chat facility.

The service includes an area for sharing tips and recommendations as well as allowing them to upload travel photos and create and comment on blogs.

Claire Wilson, managing director, said: “We have developed our My Adventures Community for two main reasons. First, to enhance our customers’ holiday experience by enabling them to interact and secondly, this user-generated content provides a real life showcase to introduce our tours to prospective travellers and people who may not know much about adventure travel.”

The Adventure Company claims more than 400 customers signed up to the community in its first week of launch.
