Dubai’s Jumeirah complex in the United Arab Emirates has launched a series of podcasts to showcase its rapidly expanding facilities to a global audience.

The luxury hotel company has produced the JCast initially in a bi-weekly format to highlight developments at the resort as a downloadable vidoecast or for users to watch directly at a computer.

The official launch follows a trial run for the system in which over 850 Jumeirah guests accessed the podcasts.

Group director for e-business and consumer development Kristie Willmott said: “These technologies can transform the value we deliver to out guests and make our properties more accessible.”

Jumeirah claims it is one of the first hotel chains to offer a podcast service.

The group is one of the leading players in Dubai’s massive tourist drive in recent years and has developed from a business focussed resort operator to include the upsurge in the country’s leisure market.
