Sabre online corporate travel tool GetThere has unveiled the latest in a series of changes to its systems, using functionality and design based on the website of sister company Travelocity.

The enhancements will be available from June this year and will include easier search tools, booking information and consumer website-style city guides, driving directions, maps and extras such as restaurants and activities.

The sharing agreement is part of a strategy to incorporate consumer web technology and experience into the business travel arena within the Sabre Group.

The latest collaboration follows the implementation in 2005 of Travelocity-themed car and hotel booking tools and an air travel facility earlier this year.

GetThere general manager Beverly Heinritz said: “The resources provided by Travelocity ultimately deliver unique advantages for GetThere clients.

“Travel managers benefit from our unparalleled global reach and scale, while their travellers can book business trips with preferred suppliers in the same manner that they shop and book their holidays or weekend city breaks.
